Message from the Representative Director
The Japan Association for Mathematical Sciences (JAMS) was established on December 4, 1984, and transitioned to the status of General Incorporated Foundation on November 1, 2013. Since its inception, JAMS has strived to promote mathematics and mathematical sciences.
JAMS has continuously worked on programs to nurture and educate young people, support participation in international research conferences, and assist in inviting overseas researchers. Our driving goal has been to provide supplemental support for international academic collaboration in areas that are difficult to cover with public funds.
In recent years, JAMS has adapted our selection and administrative systems, and has promoted overseas research fellowship and award programs in collaboration with the Mathematical Society of Japan.
JAMS appreciates your continued support.
Eriko Hironaka
Representative Director, Japan Association for Mathematical Sciences (JAMS)
